The Association

Mesh Network Association (MNA) is a French non-profit association governed by the law of 1 July 1901, founded to develop, operate and sustain the Mesh network.

01 — Mission

Mission

Under its bylaws, the association's purpose is to:

  1. 01Develop, administer and sustain a decentralized peer-to-peer network for secure communication.
  2. 02Ensure the technical maintenance of relay servers and routing protocols.
  3. 03Guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of exchanges through state-of-the-art cryptographic solutions.
  4. 04Promote end-to-end encrypted messaging among the public and organizations.
  5. 05Federate a community of users and contributors around the project.

02 — Governance

Governance

The association is run by two officers, elected by the General Assembly for an unlimited term and re-eligible.

Represents the association in all acts of civil life and convenes the General Assembly.

Treasurer

Faiyza Khiat

Manages the association's assets, receives payments and keeps its accounts.

Membership

The association is composed of three kinds of members.

The association's resources comprise:

  • Entry fees and membership dues
  • Subsidies from the State, regional departments and municipalities
  • Any resources authorized by law (donations, services related to its purpose, etc.)
